When composing a message in webmail, you can choose whether to use plain text or formatted text.
Plain text contains only characters, meaning you cannot italicise text or add images.
When you select Formatted (HTML) while composing, you will have more options to style your message. You can also set this option as the default, so you don't have to select it manually for every e-mail.
1. Log in to webmail.
2. In the menu on the left, click 'Settings' and then 'Composing Messages'.
3. Under 'Compose HTML messages', select the option 'Always' and click 'Save'. From now on, when you compose or reply to a message, it will automatically open in the formatting editor.
You can also choose 'Always, except when replying to plain text'. If someone sends you a message in plain text, your reply will also be in plain text. Note that an image set as a signature will not be visible in this case.
