This guide explains how to configure Windows 10 Mail so that you can send, receive, and manage e-mails via our mail server.
Microsoft account required
For Windows 10 Mail, you need a Microsoft account. When you start the program for the first time, you will be prompted automatically. If needed, you can then create a Microsoft account.
1. To begin, open the Mail app by clicking the Start Menu. If this is your first time using the app, it will automatically prompt you to add an account.
2. If you are not automatically prompted to add an account, click the gear icon (⚙️) located at the bottom-left corner of the screen to open the Settings menu.
3. In the Settings panel on the right, click Accounts, then select Add account.
4. From the list of account options, select Advanced setup, then choose Internet Email to manually configure your account using IMAP or POP settings.
6. Enter the following account details:
Account name: the name of the email account
Your name: your first and last name
Incoming mail server: mail.antagonist.nl
Account type: IMAP4
7. Scroll down to fill in the remaining details:
Email address: the full e-mail address you are setting up
Username: the full e-mail address you are setting up
Password: the password for this email account
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.antagonist.nl
8. Scroll down and make sure the following four options are checked:
Outgoing server requires authentication
Use the same account info for sending email
Require SSL for incoming email
Require SSL for outgoing email
9. After entering all the required information, click Sign in or Done. Windows Mail will verify your credentials, connect to the server, and your e-mails will begin to appear in the app.
