Activating Rank Math and WP Rocket on a WordPress site

This guide explains how to activate Rank Math and WP Rocket on a customer's WordPress site through the Partners.one partner platform. Activating either product is a two-phase job: first you add the product to the customer, then you complete the actions that switch it on for the WordPress site.

Before you start

  • You are logged in to partners.one as a partner.
  • You know which customer the WordPress site belongs to.
  • You have the site’s URL / domain (for example https://customersite.nl).
  • You have WordPress admin access to that site (needed to upload the plugin).

Phase 1 — Add the product

Do this once per product (Rank Math and/or WP Rocket).

  1. In the top menu open Customers, then click the customer (or use the Add product button on the customer’s row).
  2. On the customer’s page, click Add products (top right).
  3. Under Select the product, choose Rank Math or WP Rocket.
  4. Choose the plan (for Rank Math this is Pro), then click Activate product.

Result: the product appears in the customer’s Products list as Unprovisioned · Inactive, and a yellow Action required banner is shown. That is expected — finish Phase 2 to switch it on.

Phase 2 — Activate it on the WordPress site

On the customer page, click View actions in the “Action required” banner.

Rank Math — two actions to complete

  1. Provide website URL. On Action on Rank Math Pro — Provide website URL, click Take action, enter the full HTTP(S) URL of the site, and click Save.

    Note: it can take up to ~2 hours for the site to become active on the Rank Math side.

  2. Download and install the plugin. On Action on Rank Math Pro — Download plugin, click Take action, then Download Plugin. Install it on the WordPress site:

    • Log in to the WordPress admin panel.
    • Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
    • Click Choose File and select the downloaded Rank Math plugin .zip file.
    • Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

    Then back in Partners.one, click Mark as Completed.

WP Rocket — provide the domain, then install the plugin

  1. Provide domain. On Action on WP Rocket Basic — Provide domain, click Take action. Either pick the site under Choose an existing website, or select Enter a domain name manually and type it, then click Provide domain.
  2. Install the plugin. If a Download plugin action appears for WP Rocket (the same as Rank Math), download the .zip and install it in WordPress the same way: Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then Choose File, Install Now and Activate Plugin, then Mark as Completed.

Both products are WordPress plugins, so the install step (download the .zip from Partners.one, then upload and activate it in WordPress) is the same for each.

When it is done

Once all actions for the product are completed, it moves from Unprovisioned · Inactive to Active, and Rank Math / WP Rocket is running on the customer’s WordPress site.

Common mistakes & troubleshooting

  • Product still shows Inactive? An action under View actions almost certainly still needs completing.
  • Use the exact site URL or domain the customer’s WordPress actually runs on.
  • Rank Math not live yet? Allow up to ~2 hours after providing the URL.
  • Plugin upload fails in WordPress? Upload the original .zip downloaded from Partners.one and make sure you have admin rights.
